Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Last updated: September 18, 2026
Nothing is sold, nothing is shared, and 1 email still gets a logged opt-out within 15 business days. Nothing further down changes that sentence; the page exists because the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, tells every business that serves California residents to publish a page like this, and the rest of it says what "no sale, no sharing" means in practice and how a request reaches us.
Your Rights Under CCPA
Who this covers. California residents who visit or order here, and it gives you 5 rights.
- Ask what we hold about you and why.
- Have it deleted, apart from records tax law makes us keep.
- Have anything wrong corrected.
- Refuse sale or sharing; although we neither sell nor share, a request is logged and honored all the same.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We collect none.
The Privacy Policy lists every category we hold: the name and address on an order; the email and phone you typed; the payment reference; the server log; the pages a visit counter records. That list is the whole of it. Nothing hides behind it.
What Does "Selling Information" Mean?
The definitions. Under the Act, selling means passing personal information to another business for money or for some other benefit, and sharing means passing it to another business so that it can target you with advertising across other sites and apps. Ainekay does neither: there is no advertising pixel on this site, no data broker relationship, and no list is rented or traded.
Who does receive data. Stripe and PayPal to take the payment, USPS to deliver, Brevo to send order email, and Cloudflare to serve the pages; each gets it only for that job, under contracts that stop them using your details for their own purposes. Handing an address to USPS so a book can be delivered is a service arrangement, and the Act treats it that way.
Opt-Out Request for Personal Information Sharing
The request. Send it to [email protected] with "Privacy request" as the subject, and include the email address you used on the site, plus an order number if you have placed an order; an authorized agent can send it for you with a signed permission attached.
The clock. Acknowledged within 1 business day. Completed within 15 business days.
The signal. This site does not read the Global Privacy Control signal today: since we neither sell nor share, the signal would have nothing to act on, and if a tracking tool is ever added, GPC support goes in first. Nothing is sold. Nothing is shared. So there is no toggle to set, and we still log the request, confirm it in writing, and keep the record so that the answer stays "no" if the site ever changes.
Verification Process and Response Time
How we check. A reply from the email address held on the order, or 2 details only the account holder would know, such as the order number and the ZIP code; a request about an order needs the order number, and a request from someone who never ordered needs only the email address they used. We ask for as little as the check needs, and no more.
How long it takes. Know, correct or delete requests are answered within 45 days; if it needs longer, you hear why within those 45 days and the answer arrives within 45 more. An opt-out needs no verification beyond the email address and is done within 15 business days. The answer comes by email, in plain text you can keep.
Right to Non-Discrimination
After a request you get the same prices, the same shipping terms, the same 30-day returns and the same reply time. We do not offer a discount for giving up a right or add a surcharge for using a right. Nothing changes. The book costs the same the day after you delete your account as it did the day before.
Important Notes
Under 16. We do not knowingly hold data on anyone under 16, and we have no opt-in process for minors, because no sale or sharing exists to opt in to.
7 years. Order records are kept 7 years for tax law and cannot be deleted on request; everything else can.
Other states. Residents of other states with privacy statutes may use the same address and get the same answer, and if any of this changes, the "Last updated" date changes with it, and this page is rewritten before any sale or sharing begins. This page and the Privacy Policy were written on the same day from the same list of what the site does. If they ever disagree, tell us. The stricter reading applies until we fix the wording.
