Order tracking
2 things from the confirmation email, 4 statuses, and a USPS number the day the parcel leaves. Nothing on this page is harder than that. The lookup box on this page shows where an order stands, from the moment it is placed to the USPS delivery scan, and the 8 notes below follow the same clock, from day 0 to the day it lands, and say at which point writing beats waiting.
You need 2 things from the confirmation email
Day 0. Type 2 things into the box: the order number, which begins with # and heads the confirmation email, and the checkout email, the address the confirmation was sent to. No account is needed. An order placed as a guest can be looked up the same way.
You see 4 statuses, in this order
Days 0 to 9. Order placed to Delivered takes 3 to 9 business days in total, the figure from the Shipping Policy, and the box shows 1 of these 4 lines at a time.
- Order placed: the order is in and on its way to the distribution partner.
- Payment confirmed: Stripe or PayPal has settled the charge, and packing at the partner takes 1 to 3 business days from here.
- Shipped: the parcel is with USPS, the tracking number is attached and the shipping email has gone out.
- Delivered: ticked only when the carrier's own scan reports delivery at your address.
Most of the waiting sits between Payment confirmed and Shipped on a busy week, and in USPS transit on a quiet week.
You get the USPS number by email the day the parcel leaves
Scanned out at the partner. The email goes out at that scan, and the same number shows in the lookup box under Shipped; it works on usps.com and in the USPS app. No email? Check spam, then look here. The number is the same.
You may see 1 to 2 days of silence before the first scan
The next 1 to 2 days. Tracking looks like "label created" or "pre-shipment" with no movement, because the label is printed at the partner before USPS scans the parcel in, and that is normal for up to 2 days after the shipping email. A parcel in this state is real and on its way. Nothing needs doing yet.
You write when tracking has not moved for 5 business days
After 5 business days of the same scan. Write, and a USPS inquiry goes in; we tell you what it says when it says it. USPS takes about 5 business days to answer, and the clock on our side is the 5 to 7 business days in the Shipping Policy, counted from the day the carrier replies. If the parcel is lost, a second copy goes on its way or you get a refund in full. You choose.
You write within 48 hours when it says delivered and nothing came
Within 48 hours of the scan. First ask the neighbors, then check the mail room, the porch, the back door, because USPS scans at the building; then email with the order number, and we start a USPS trace. Half of these parcels turn up within a day, in a neighbor's hands or at the leasing office. The other half are ours to replace, and a confirmed loss means a second copy or a refund in full. We do.
You have 12 hours after ordering to change the address
Hours 0 to 12. Email or phone, giving the order number plus the new address, and the change costs nothing. After the window the partner already has the order, and it travels to the address on the confirmation; the same 12 hours cover a cancellation, and past them a wrong address falls under the refused-parcel rules of the Refund and Returns Policy.
